Larger than life
BIRDS OF A FEATHER by Pittou and Gervais. Chronicle Books, 2012.
This giant of a book has all manner of pop-ups and movable pieces that will have readers interacting with the bird kingdom. Lift up eggs to see what bird might hatch from it. Take apart a page piece by piece (the pieces look like jigsaw puzzle pieces) and try to guess which bird will emerge from the separate clues. Kids will spend loads of time interacting with this gorgeous book. <535>
SPLAT SAYS THANK YOU by Rob Scotton. Harper, 2012.
When his pal Seymour is sick, Splat spends time with telling Seymour all the reasons Splat has for being thankful for his friend. This 5th book in the series featuring the incredibly fuzzy kitty is sure to please fans and win some more. <536>
