Monkey Business
NO MONKEYS, NO CHOCOLATE by Melissa Stewart and Allen Young with illustrations by Nicole Wong. Charlesbridge, 2013.
Who says nonfiction has to be dry? Here is a "sweet" book about the role monkeys play in chocolate survival. Be sure to look for the commentary by some tiny creatures on the corner of each double page spread.
COUNT THE MONKEYS by MacBarnett and Kevin Cornell. Disney/Hyperion, 2013.
This counting book actually features all manner of animals, including lumberjacks, but NO monkeys until the final end papers. Great concept book, but an even better humorous look at what can go wrong.
