Fly Guy Returns!
FLY GUY VS. THE FLYSWATTER by Tedd Arnold (Scholastic 2011) features one of my favorite recurring characters in early chapter books, Fly Guy. In this entry, Fly Guy accompanies his human, Buzz, on a school field trip. Unfortunately, the trip is to a company which specializes in fly swatters. Pandemonium ensues. Of course, Fly Guy triumphs, and the students declare the day the best field trip ever. <548>

LS5385 I think my 3rd grade students will enjoy me reading this book to them. The cover looks so cool.
ReplyDeleteI just got this into the library. I found it very funny and a good in-between step for those graduating from picture books with little text to chapter books. The boys especially enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI hold Fly Guy close to my heart. Fly Guy was the first book that my daughter read before Kindergarten. She is now in 2nd grade and has no interest in Fly Guy books, but when this hit the shelf, I tried to convince her to check it out! :)
